Architect for development of strategic property projects

Copenhagen Contractors A/S is a Danish company operating internationally. We are looking for an Architect to support the design, planning and delivery of projects across international markets.

Copenhagen Contractors A/S is a subsidiary of Copenhagen Group A/S. The company operates within the defense sector and delivers complex projects and turnkey solutions for major national and international clients, including the United Nations and the Danish Armed Forces.

We are currently working on several property development projects, with further projects in the pipeline. You will primarily be involved in national projects, with occasional international assignments, while being based at our headquarters in Nordhavn, Copenhagen.

About the role

You will become a key member of a newly established Real Estate department within a well-established company. The department will consist of approximately four colleagues: you, the Head of Real Estate, who is also an architect, a Senior Project Manager and a Project Developer.

You will work on a diverse range of projects, ranging in size from approximately 300 to 15,000 m². These include defense-related developments, offices, residential projects and water-related construction projects. We work with temporary, semi-permanent and permanent structures, although the majority of our projects involve permanent construction.

• Understand that good architecture must be buildable and create value. You appreciate the relationship between design decisions, buildability, financial considerations and the overall quality of a project.
• Have experience of, or a strong interest in, the full construction process, from initial concept and design development through to project delivery.
• Are motivated by autonomy, responsibility and the opportunity to influence projects rather than by traditional management structures.
• Enjoy participating in both strategic discussions with decision-makers and practical dialogue with consultants, contractors and construction professionals.
• Are fluent in both Danish and English, in writing and in speech. English is the company’s official working language.
