Job description


Copenhagen Global A/S is a Danish company with a global footprint, built on agility, flat structure, and hands-on execution. We are looking for an Engine Test Technician to join our workshop team. In this role, you will operate and maintain dynamometer testing equipment to evaluate marine and industrial engines, primarily FPT/High power engines. Your work will be crucial in ensuring engine performance, reliability and quality before global deployment.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up, operate and maintain engine dynamometer testing equipment.
  • Conduct performance tests, including measuring torque, power and emissions.
  • Diagnose engine issues through test data analysis and support repair teams.
  • Document test results accurately and report findings to engineering and production teams.
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure precise operation.
  • Assist with the installation and preparation of engines for testing.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanics, engineers and logistics to support smooth workflow.
  • Follow health, safety and environmental standards in all workshop activities.

Qualifications, skills and experience required

  • Technical education or vocational training in mechanics, automotive, or related fields.
  • Experience operating dynamometers or engine testing equipment is highly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of engine systems, preferably marine or industrial engines.
  • Detail-oriented with good data recording and analysis skills.
  • Hands-on, proactive and collaborative approach suited to a flat, agile organisation.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Basic IT skills; familiarity with test software or data logging tools is advantageous.
