Navigator - Search and Rescue Vessel (Damen)

Job description


Copenhagen Global A/S is a Danish company with international operations that values agility, a flat structure and hands-on collaboration. We are seeking an experienced Navigator to join our Search and Rescue (SAR) vessel team. You will be responsible for safe and effective navigation of SAR missions, ensuring crew safety and mission success in often challenging marine environments.

Key responsibilities

  • Navigate and operate the Search and Rescue vessel in accordance with mission requirements.
  • Plan and execute safe routes, considering weather and sea conditions.
  • Monitor vessel systems and communicate with crew and command centers.
  • Maintain accurate navigational logs and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime safety standards and company policies.
  • Assist with emergency response operations as required.
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental standards of Copenhagen Global A/S.

Qualifications, skills and experience required

  • Valid and relevant certificates/licenses for navigation and operation of Search and Rescue vessels (e.g., STCW certification, Master or Officer of the Watch certificates).
  • Proven experience in navigation on SAR or similar vessels.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime navigation, safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Ability to operate navigation equipment (radar, GPS, AIS, etc.).
  • Excellent decision-making skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Fluent in English and/or Danish.
  • Willingness to travel and work in demanding maritime environments.
