Project Manager for strategic property projects

Copenhagen Contractors A/S is a Danish company operating internationally. We are looking for a Project Manager to support the planning, management and delivery of projects across national and international markets.

Copenhagen Contractors A/S is a subsidiary of Copenhagen Group A/S. The company operates within the defense sector and delivers complex projects and turnkey solutions for major national and international clients, including the United Nations and the Danish Armed Forces.

We are currently working on several property development projects, with further projects in the pipeline. You will primarily be involved in national projects, with occasional international assignments, while being based at our headquarters in Nordhavn, Copenhagen.

About the role

You will become a key member of a newly established Real Estate department within a well-established company. The department will consist of approximately four colleagues: you, the Head of Real Estate, an Architect and a Project Developer.

You will work on a diverse range of projects, ranging in size from approximately 300 to 15,000 m². These include defense-related developments, offices, residential projects and water-related construction projects. We work with temporary, semi-permanent and permanent structures, although the majority of our projects involve permanent construction.

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving projects from initial ideas and concepts through planning, pricing, design and construction to final delivery. You will coordinate internal and external stakeholders and help ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with agreed objectives, timelines, budgets and quality requirements.

We believe in short decision-making processes. You will therefore experience a high degree of autonomy and minimal unnecessary administration. In return, we expect you to take initiative, demonstrate ownership, and have the confidence and ability to make decisions and drive projects forward.

Your profile

We imagine that you:

• Have +5 years of experience within project and construction management.
• Have a practical understanding of the construction process and appreciate the relationship between functionality, buildability, quality and cost.
• Are structured, pragmatic and solution-oriented and are comfortable coordinating consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Have a strong network among consultants and main contactors in the Danish market.
• Are motivated by autonomy, responsibility and the opportunity to influence projects rather than by rigid processes and traditional management structures.
• Have an entrepreneurial approach and enjoy taking initiative, making decisions and assuming responsibility for new areas.
• Are fluent in both Danish and English, in writing and in speech. English is the company’s official working language.
