JOB DESCRIPTION
Copenhagen Contractors A/S - a Danish company working for a multitude of different governmental and institutional customers in Denmark and overseas – is currently looking for a skilled Senior Project Manager to handle the design, planning and execution of its building projects in Denmark but also overseas.
The role requires a highly structured and detail-oriented individual with strong managerial, architectural and technical understanding, who thrives in a complex, multidisciplinary environment and can translate requirements into robust, high-quality sustainable design solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Project Manager role will comprise but not be limited to:
- Developing building concepts, layouts and detailed design solutions in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders at multiple operational sites in Denmark.
- Translating functional, technical and regulatory requirements into clear project documentation.
- Identifying risks, constraints and improvement opportunities related to design, functionality, sustainability, economy, time management and constructability.
- Preparing drawings, specifications and design material for internal use, clients, external partners and submission to relevant authorities together with business partners.
- Coordinating with engineers, architects, construction managers, subcontractors and authorities to ensure design feasibility and compliance.
- Handling project execution by ensuring design intent is maintained throughout implementation.
- Ensuring documentation is structured, complete and archived correctly in internal systems.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 10+ years’ experience in a developer role as an architect, engineer or constructor preferably within complex, technical or international projects.
- Experience working with new-build developments as well as refurbishment, renovation and design development of existing buildings, including heritage and conservation-worthy assets.
- Solid understanding of regulations, standards and compliance relevant to construction projects, including experience with procurement procedures and Danish general conditions of contract (ABT 18 / ABR 18) and Building Regulations 2025.
- Experience from regulated environments, industrial facilities or public-sector projects is considered an advantage.
- Proficient in relevant construction software and tools.
- Highly structured and meticulous with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and interfaces simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and cultures, combined with experience in project management, including design management and project coordination.
- Ability to work systematically, proactively and independently in a high-paced environment.
- Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
